Complimentary cloud asset storage and version control for your game project.
Complimentary Cloud Storage High-speed cloud backend storage for large binaries, 3D meshes, and textures.
Frictionless Setup Works with our Unity, Unreal, and Godot plugins, or standalone CLI.
Your cloud storage is ready. Follow these steps to connect your project and make your first publish:
Download and run the Windows installer (installs per-user, zero admin required).
Install FlexVault with the one-line install script:
curl -fsSL https://fxv.dev/install.sh | bash
macOS builds are planned but not published yet. Join the Discord below and we'll let you know when it ships.
Download the setup script, drop it into your game project folder, and double-click it to run. It'll ask for your username, then set up your team's repository and connect the folder it's in.
Install FlexVault first (step 1), then open a new PowerShell window so it can find fxv. Change into your game project folder before running these commands. They connect whichever folder you run them from.
Once FlexVault is installed (step 1), open a terminal, change into your game project folder, and run these commands. They connect whichever folder you run them from:
FlexVault isn't available for macOS yet. Your voucher stays valid, so come back once a build ships.
Use FlexVault from your engine or from the terminal. Pick whichever suits you, or use both.
FlexVault plugins snapshot, sync, and publish from inside your editor, with no terminal needed. Each guide shows how to add the plugin to the project you just connected.
To make your first publish, open a terminal in your game project folder. FlexVault commands act on the folder you run them from, so running them anywhere else won't find your project.
On Windows, the quickest way is to open your project folder in File Explorer, click the address bar, type powershell and press Enter. A terminal opens in that folder.
fxv status fxv snapshot --description "Initial import" fxv publish --description "First publish"
If fxv status reports an error instead of your files, you're not in the connected folder. The first publish uploads your whole project, so it can take a while.
